Has the term “operation” or “surgery” ever been related to you at some point in time in your life?

Yes? Well, then you may find this blog really boring. Better wait for the next blog ;)

No?. Ah,now you are right up my streets. Come in!

It all began when I was a bubbly, angelic little 5th grader, when suddenly I found myself unable to see things clearly;whether it be reading things written on the class blackboard ;) or a cute girl advancing towards me! ;) . Whatever it was, I soon found out that I had a case of “severe myopia”; to put it in simple terms, short sightedness.

And as it happen to be, I had to start wearing a piece of glasses. Now as anyone would feel, I felt really stupid wearing these glasses especially since they were really protruding as I had high power. But somehow I managed it till my 10th grade, but as the sense of adolescence set into me,I opted for a perfect contact lens.

This all went on fine, till my power really went out-of-bound and my dad finally got to the conclusion that corrective laser surgery was the only option.

Surgery!!! Now that was a big new word right up my alley. I have never even had a bandage ever on my body before and here, what do I hear? Surgery?

My instant reaction was a big NO! But somehow my parents convinced me with a “blind” notion and finally I gave in to their voices.

Now as this was new to me,I virtually confronted everyone who had undergone that surgery and all the responses I got, also from a person whom I got acquainted right then, was in the positive;quick healing, clear vision,no pain. Even the doctors assured that.

But of all the things,it had to happen to me! First, the doctors told me that the normal laser treatment nor the next level of treatment could be suited for my eye and had to go for an option which was rarely taken and expensive.

Well, the day of the operation finally arrived. I was there sitting, getting my eyes cleaned for the surgery. Just minutes before the operation, where I was the next person to get my eyes operated upon, even then I had a  dubiety like “What the hell am I doing here!!”. But it went on and there I was in the operation theatre, lights flooding above me and the wide-eyed doctors looking down on me.

The whole operation took just 5 mins and the operation itself was not painful, but when they inserted a clip to hold my eyeballs, man! I saw heaven and hell at the same time.

Well, the rest is history now and I’m happy I went for the corrective surgery option as everything looks ay-ok to me now and its like I have got a new eye,a new world, a new hope and a new beginning. But I can assure you that I really gave that acquaintance of mine a really contemptuous glare the next time I talked to her ;) .

Have you ever felt like holding a loved one’s hand, having a small tear in your eyes, a groping in the heart, when you ever see a movie? Well thats just what “Oye” makes you feel.

Right from the opening shot, where the title name is uttered and an ever youthful hero (Siddhart and he is 31 ok!) sits on the park bench,to the climax which essentially comes back to the starting point,”Oye” really has fantasized the actual inner feelings of true love, narrated in a recherché manner, pleasing to both eye and heart.

The surprise in the hero’s heart when he finds a one- of- a- kind traditional girl in this modern trend setting city of Vizag, ultimately leads to love in him;his first love. Then, the resplendent proposing scene by the hero, the real beauty of the movie, signs in “expressing” love as something really  ”short n sweet”, but the real true love itself to be “long and everlasting”.

The story takes an unfortunate twist at the interval, a twist which really makes the heroine realise the love she has got for life and from then on its sweet sailing for quite a while.

The climax scene, however, when the heroine proposes back to the hero,is one utter heart-gripping of a sequence and  it really becomes disheartening when the heroine finally projects her feelings for love to be everlasting but couldn’t go the distance with it as the face of “Yama” proves the ultimate road block there.

“Oye” is sure to turn on the water taps in your eyes, but a small smile on your lips as well is guaranteed.

So,whatever you miss in life, dont miss “Oye” ;) (A small reference from the movie itself)

Hi everyone,

Curosity is the beginning of everything, ain’t it?. Well, thats exactly what drove me into starting this blog. What started as a simple thought of “what’s this?”, ended up being “I have to do this!”.

So here I’m. Short, medium built and a maverick, though not in the literal sense all the time . The first impression someone gets, when they see me, is like “Hey! Kids not allowed here!”. Its quite an exasperating tag which keeps on following me even now when i’m almost done with my college graduation!

So, as I was saying, I’m basically a fun loving guy, who has certain ambitions and desires of various flavours , and eagerly awaiting the day when I get to taste the final delicacy.

So I begin this heart to heart talk (or rather its me only talking!) with a thrilling anonymity and richness!

Cheers…
